We had such a wonderful trip. Richard Pulley is a GREAT CFI and now a very special freind that will always be near and dear to our hearts. He also introduced us to a friend of his in Luarel Mt by the name of "Jim" who is in my book a "True American Hero" Jim was flying and F-4 during the Vietnam War and was shot down. He is a decorated pilot with over 200 mission flown and WOW we stayed overnight in his house!!!

Here are a few pictures for you to view I hope you enjoy them.

You are correct, I still can't believe it. A long search, lots of planning,.....and it went way to fast. I wish we could have spent more time on the way back but weather dictated other wise. It was a good thing we pushed on, we have been socked in wth fog and rain since we got back. We stopped at a small town called Faith Sd,(pop. about 400) which is about 1/2 between Billings Mt and home to top off the tanks and switch out pilots. You have to call one of the City employees and they come out and turn the fuel pump on.....well it didn't work 8O , but they brought out a city pickup truck so we could go it to town for a burger! Very nice people! Anyway with in hours after our departure from northwestern South Dakota it started to snow and they got 8-10 inches of SNOW!!!!! Had we not left when we did we would still be there. :D :D
My son, John took to flying the new plane like a duck to water.......I, on the other hand gave Richard some more gray hair   I just get too nervous yet and hope that will go away with time. We have been so blessed by meeting peole on this forum, I will be forever grateful to Richard and hope it is a beginning of a great friendship. Richard took John under his wing and treated him as if he were his own which was also great to see.

I was giving Richard a ride around the farm in my ranger and we got down to the end of the runway....and out of the blue he says...."hey where's Bruce's oil?"   (true story!).

Absolutely well-done video, Willie! It almost brought a tear to my eye. Louis Armstrong is one of my favorite voices, and yes, "It's a Wonderful World"!!

Well done, Dubya! Seeing your smile says it all about your trip and the new friendships. You guys are blessed.

I love Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World. A few weeks ago Becky and I flew to Illinois for our 25th anniversary. I had that song playing on the i-pod in the 170 when I gave her my anniversary gift. It was a good moment.

Think I'll go back and look at your pictures again!

W--thanks for sharing your video with us. Really neat! We have a lot to be thankful for and those of us who have the privledge of flying our small planes across this fantastic country of ours really get to see it from a different perspective than seeing it by automobile or from an airliner. One of the best aspects of our aviating activity is the fine folks we get to meet along the way. You were in good company.
