Link to the PROPOSED TFR for the SuperBowl in Dallas area:

There are some gov't actions which I find truly bewildering. Why in Hades does a football GAME ...
...held within the boundaries of an already-populated MULTI-MILLION-person MULTIPLEX ...like the DFW area,
which underlies Class C airspace ..and a PERMANENT PRESIDENTIAL TFR....which is already heavily controlled by ATC ...require additional restrictions?

Does the TSA believe that all those millions of people do not deserve/recieve sufficient ATC oversight already?
Geeesh!!...What a load of beauracracy!!!

NO non-commercial General Aviation flights allowed within the inner circle, and only those on active flight plans squawking descreet codes using most outlying airports. This means you cannot take Aunt Tillie to the DFW GA ramp to connect with her airliner. Wow. THAT'll let SuperBowl fans concentrate on the GAME and make the MetroPlex safe, heh?

I guess we're not suppoed to look out for other aircraft in order to "see and avoid" during the TFR's prohibition against "sightseeing operations" also.

Bet you can't fly radio controlled aircraft either.

The permanent 3 mile 3000 ft TFR around ALL NFL games (as well as other sporting events) keeps the banner towers at bay around them as well as DisneyLand and DisneyWorld. The Superbowl is a large highly concentrated highly publicized target so the TSA will probably have AWACs planes and fighters patrolling in order to shoot down any terrorist that figures out how to get an airplane of any size to do damage to begin with.

The question is having a large TFR of this nature an admittance by the TSA that they haven't secured all the large aircraft that could be used for such an attack? And if they have, why the TFR?
