Is This Wierd or What
I was looking at the Cessna 140 club web site and they have their own gahorn answering questions also. I cant believe they allow two of them in this country but both in Texas!

The 120/140 site is directly related to the 170 site. For all those who have had a 120/140, you'd understand.
There is no evilness here!
George is very knowleldgeable with these aircraft and his advise should be taken very seriously.
But, being just a previous owner of a 120 for 35 years, it's only my humble opinion...

The more-pertinent question, Mike, is what are YOU doing over there!!???mike roe wrote:I was looking at the Cessna 140 club web site and they have their own gahorn answering questions also. I cant believe they allow two of them in this country but both in Texas!

(The 120/140 technical folks (usually Mike or David) and I trade technical-info with each other from time to time to assist our own members, and that occasionally leads us to discussions in-progress at each-other's sites. On several occasions they've been very helpful to me, especially in regard to some of our ragwing members, and hopefully we occasionally repay the favor. They're a happy, delightful group.)

Adding internal bracing and dual V-struts and fabric to the wings ...I can visualize...but...mike roe wrote:Wow that was scarey, I thought their was 2 gahorns. What were you planning to do with the flaps?

Mike why did you replace that skin? Could it have been due to corrosion under the fuselage flap fairing? Or did someone put a big ugly rotating beacon hole in middle? Curious mind would like to know.

No corrosion. It had a couple antenna patches and some double drilled window retainer holes. It also gives a good chance to look at the carry thru spars and get some good pictures of them opened up. Everything looked great. I just thought when I put that skin on for a fit check it looked so strange without the windows I snapped some pictures.
