Hello everyone,
I have been reading this forum for a while now and I think it is awesome!
I have just purchased my first plane and the info contained here will certainly help me keep my plane in tip top shape.
I bought it in Sarasota, Florida and I flew it home to Nome, Alaska.
It was an unforgettable trip, 6 days flying with 1 weather day delay.
I just wanted to say Hi and let you guys know how helpful this forum has been so far.
Flying this trip home was the most memorable thing I have ever done!

Whooo-Hoooo! That should qualify for a long-distance award! (PICTURES! PICTURES!)
Now you should join the Int'l Cessna 170 Assoc'n! (this Home page) {and write an article about the find and subsequent trip for The 170 News Quarterly Magazine!}

Impressive cross country! I checked it out on Google Earth and I think the only way you could take a longer trip point-to-point in North America is to fly from Key West to Kotzebue. I agree with George, we need pictures and a writeup!

I have sent the paperwork in to join!
I am now working on a story or recap of our journey and I would love to share it.
Thanks to everyone who responded!
I look forward to searching the archives and finding out as much as I can about my 170.
