It's been some time since I've seen/heard posts from bluelder....... Hope all is well with him. Anyone have any knowledge?
Dick, oh Dick...where are you? I do hope you're off somewhere writing an autobiography for us all to read.

Did he make it to San Diego?

I was just thinking the other day that he's becoming conspicuous by his absence. My guess is that he's doing what he does every summer, and that is to spend it at Johnson Creek airport in Yellow Pine, Idaho.

If he made it to San Diego I missed him.

Although I didn't check the registration data, I am pretty sure he didn't make the convention. We would have known it if he was there. Wish he had been, I was looking forward to meeting him and hearing some of his experiences.

If he gets back before the Tehachapi fly-in maybe I could offer him a bed and a bean to show up, so others attending could meet him and hear some of his stories.

Miles,
You got it! Just got home yesterday. It was a helluva hot summer up in Yellow Pine, Idaho. Sorry as hell that I missed the
party in San Diego, but I was totally unable to find out if I would be able to ride my Vespa motor scooter on the flight line
and my physical mobility has become so limited that I would be unable to get around without it. It's really a bitch to get old.
I did get to see a lot of old friends at Johnson Creek Airport. Up there they allow an old 89 year old ride his four wheel ATV
all over the place. The airport is about five miles from town and I often made the trip twice a day. To be perfectly honest,
without the airport, there wouldn't be a darn thing for me to do in Yellow Pine.

Dick, we missed the chance to meet you and visit at the convention. I don't know what the airport's policy would have been regarding your mobility, but am guessing you could have had access. We have missed your posts and comments here too. Glad your back! Maybe you can straighten us out on some subjects

The airport is the only thing in Yellow Pine, Idaho besides Ice. But the real eye opener is the bars are only Beer and wine. Talk about low level alcohol light on. BYOB

They got hard stuff in the store.
Blueldr I'm guessing you rode right by me at one of the flyins.
