I need to replace a few control pulleys namely the NAS 383-3 and NAS 383-1 in the elevator control and trim control. Freeman Just Plane Parts one of my favorite hardware suppliers doesn't have them but says I can us the AN210 equivilant. He also didn't have a conversion chart, NAS to either AN or MS number.

1. Are these (AN210 series) equivilant or better and can I use them or should I use another pulley?

2. Does anyone have a conversion chart for NAS383 to MS or AN number?

I know Aircraft Spruce has the NAS383 type and they are even cheaper than the MS/AN but I'd rather give Freeman the business.

What did you do about your pulleys.

Well that was a few months ago and a little fuzzy but I know I never found a cross reference. I seem to recall that tha AN210 was not the same but I could be wrong. Just can't remember.

As for my pulley that was not turning I had removed it and cleaned and lubed it real well.

Then took a rat tale file and filed out the flat that had formed in the pulley. Now it rareily "sticks". I'm using this pulley till I could find one which I since have from a friend.

Aircraft Spruce or Wag Aero, I forget which advertises the correct NAS part numbers I was looking for but I was hoping to cross reference it and buy from another supplier that my company does business with all the time.
Seems the special pulleys we need are available just not widely available.
