On all the early models, there were chains from the rudder horn. On the last model, the steering cables were connected to the rudder cables up inside the fuselage like on the later C-180s.

You mean the '55 model, right? That has very visible cables running from the fuselage to the tailwheel. In the posted picture, I don't see any cables or chains to the tailwheel.

The '55 and later had the cables. This one has chains. Hard to see them.
