New Sectional Symbol - Buzz Lightyear Rockets!

Post by counsellj »

There is a new symbol that one would find on new sectionals assuming they keep current ones  . Important to our Southwest and West Texas flyers or those passing through that area.

There was a launch about 25 miles north of Van Horn, Texas on November 23 but no symbol on the chart yet. That facility has been there for a few years.

It is for permanent rocket launch activity not temporary. Temporary will be issued a NOTAM. Hunting for the symbol, look around New Mexico and Utah borders for the symbol.

Could the VIRGIN Galactic. Spaceport in NM have influenced the new chart?
