I now understand the welding disadvantage.

Now how about "JB Weld" with a cushioning poly spacer below it.

Our shop just repaired a foot operated valve that Crimps a steel toe onto a clipboard for the Tesla Cyber truck.

JB Weld can be a happy secret.
