Unofficial count was 14 170s at Blakesburg this year. I’m pretty sure there were at least two specimens of each of the three models present. By the time we rounded up folks for a group picture today, more than half had already left.

It was a great fly-in. It was nice to meet everyone.

I’ve seen a number of pictures on the 170 Facebook page. Here are a few of mine.

I hope all the 170s got out before the hail storm on Sunday (not sure what time, but after we left about 10:00am). Antique Airfield posted on Facebook today that 23 of 24 airplanes, including 4 from the museum, left on the field when the storm hit received at least minor damage. All airplanes not based at Antique Airfield were able to fly out today.

Talked to a friend that had three airplanes there. He had gotten two of them “home” before the storm. The third (a J3) required duct tape patches to get it home. So did the Staggerwing
The hail hit about midnight Sunday night.
