Spin on oil filter IO-360 210HP

Post by Tailwind Farm »

Hello all!

New member maybe a beat up topic?

I Looked around a little regarding a spin on filter for a Continental IO-360 with the 210 HP conversion hung on a 170B. The two options I see are

1. Airwolf mounted to the firewall
2. Tempest oil filter adapter.

The Tempest seems to be the lightest and least cumbersome option and it seems that they have sorted out the thread issue from the F&M days and also have gone to a copper crush washer.

Anyway, just looking to hear what people may have done. Not opposed to staying with the screen and the 25 hours.

Thank you!

Keith,
I have had trouble free 16 years and 800 hours with numerous oil & filter changes with F&M adapter. Picture is during the modification.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
