Recommendations in the Shenandoah Valley Area for 5-8 May?

Folks, I’m heading out to the Shenandoah Valley area for a quick getaway with my lovely bride in our 170 for a few days. Any recommendations on good airports and perhaps a cozy inn or B&B. We will likely rent a car for a couple of days. We’ve done the mountains and the National Park but now we would like to explore the valley.

Likely some one in this august group of travelers has passed that way before.
