Had a really good trip into Helena this weekend. I’m a low hour guy that doesn’t frequent towered airports often. This was my third trip into Helena however. These tower guys are nothing short of remarkable to me. Courteous, helpful and patient. Winds were gusting to 20 and they asked me if I’d like another runway over the one in use. Helpful and patient with progressive taxi instructions. So thankful for guys like this.
Now for the brag… the “super 170” held 1000fpm climb out at 80mph from the runway all the way to cruise altitude with three adults, luggage and full fuel. Thanks 170!
