DRONES DRONES DRONES EVERYWHERE!

Post by GAHorn »

The “news” these days is full of public frenzy over a flock of drones over-flying the N.E. U.S. and, just for conversation, I’ll add my theory:

THE END IS NEAR !! …the “end” of the year, that is…. and local governments will soon be sending out property tax-statements and ad valorem tax appraisals for 2025. I’m thinking some of them are using drones for the appraisals and inventory.

Those of you who are taxed for your airplanes parked or hangared at public airports on January First…will likely get such a tax-bill. I used to work for a company and the last week of Dec and first week of Jan… all our company airplanes were off on a pheasant hunt in states where such taxes were not levied.

Don’t panic. Be alert. Be safe.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Celebratory Holiday Season whatever your Traditions are.

You out to take a look at the tfr map of New Jersey. It is full of low level tfrs. I have to look carefully every time we fly here because we are in the inner circle of the tfr for Bidens home. Counting down the days till that problem is gone for me. Bill K

Amazing how little Drone sitings are being reported anymore. Those low level TFRs sure were effective. :D (sarcasm)

Bill, your TFR trouble goes away with Biden but I'm sure Trump will find his golf course in NJ more inviting than the one at Mar-a-Lago during the summer heat. That TFR nearly covers my base airport at Quakertown PA and does cover most of central NJ.

Don’t expect an EX-office-holder to lose his TFR. GW Bush still has several… Including the one at the Crawford Ranch that he hasn’t visited in years.
