8.00x6 Tires

Post by dermothalcyon »

I am having problems finding tires in stock. I currently run Goodyear Flight Special II 8.00x6. I cannot find these anywhere within any reasonable timeframe. I am considering AirHawk or Michelin Condors. Does anyone have experience with these or have suggestions for others?

AirHawks have never given me any trouble (on my other airplanes…never used them on the 170).

Michelin Condors sometimes have been critiqued as contacting the brake assy’s due to “oversized”. This critique was at least ten years ago and may have been corrected, and may also have been on a non-std airplane. (Just because an owner finds his/her airplane in a particular-configurations,…doesn’t mean it wasn’t modified and never recorded….yet many owners of modified airplanes believe their configuration is original simply because there’s no record of the mod, or They have not made that mod. That is a false-assumption.)

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
