We arrived yestarday afternoon to find about 20 170s already here. Today (Sunday) more arrived and I think the total is over 30 plus a few other types thrown in.
Had hoped to down load some pictures but this hotel computer doesn't have a USB port.
The tours start tomorrow. I'll try to get back with a note from each day.

Toured the Ford Rouge manufacturing facility. This is a huge complex that Henery Frod built. It starts with raw material and manufactures the parts required to make vehicles. They current make the Ford F150 there but did make the Mustang at one time.
Very interesting tour even though the assembly plant is currently shut down for the summer vacation.
Tonight we'll be sitting around telling stories which is always fun. We've had a few good laughs telling George Horn stories since he's not here to defend himself.
More later.

We'll we had our second day of touring. Today We Greenfield village which is a village Henery Ford build by relocating buildings an structures he admired. It takes more than a day to see it all.
My wife and I haven't even stepped foot on the Henry Ford museum and yet and we've been touring for 2 days. Weather has been over cast to day which keeped the temperature down just a bit from the sunny day we had Monday.
Things are running smoothly from my prospective and everyone seems to be having a great time.
We are nearly half way through the conventition and just when you think you've heard all the Gahorn stories someone has another.
Seriously George, wish you and everyone else where here.
More later.

50th Anniversary of Flight Model. Winner-Best Original 170B, 100th Anniversary of Flight Convention. An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons.
Just a quick note. The convention is over but for most with airplanes at the convention it has been extended for a day sort of because of bad weather. I was able to sneak out and am visiting my sister in Pittsburg, PA. Should be home tonight if I can find my way throught the Tstorms.
More later when i get home on this convention including pics. A good time was had by all and we missed everyone who couldn't make it.

Hope everyone is thinking about joining us in Kelowna, British Columbia, next year July, 16th to the 21st. If the convention is half as good as the presentations Dave Millar gave at this years convention, it will be one you won't want to miss.
More on Kelowna shortly.

Bruce, Great pictures, looks like Dave and Marcia put together a great convention. Wish we could have been there, but there are only so many vacation opportunities in a year and I"m on borrowed time! I will be at Oshkosh next week for a couple of days, (was invited to fly up and couldn't say no), and hope to meet some 170ers there. Looking forward to more details of the convention, as some of have to live through the good fortunes of those that got to be there! Again, thanks for sharing your pictures with us! Jon
The link will be fine Dale. I'll inform you if/when I take them down. My Tehachapi photos are still up so they'll come down before the Dearborn pics will.
