I believe it's Charlie's Decathalon that he was in... we have a photo of that Decathalon in formation with us somewhere....

Here's a shot of the plane with the Wright Brothers Monument at First Flight airport in NC. Yet another perfect moment from our trip!

Glad you had a good trip, Trevor. I was getting a little 'edgey' about you guys and not hearing anything! Photo's are excellant!!! I'm sure that trip will be etched in your head forever. I'm surprised Mike wasn't in the Super Chipmunk to take that shot. But Charlies' Super Decathlon is a cream-puff too!
So, are you ready to fly it back for a breakfast at Nantucket?  :!:

haha, when we got home, it was so weird not getting up and flying every morning. we considered just continuing up the west coast and back across the northern part of the US, but decided against it due to the cold

Looked at your blog. What a great trip! This is the way to fly - not just to get there, but to enjoy everything along the way. That's what is fun.
I remember a friend that flew to Alaska, and then wanted a faster airplane.
When my son and I flew to Alaska, we enjoyed every day, and every stop. I didn't care how fast my 170 was. We just enjoyed everything.
Love your 170 - keep up the blog.

Trevor,

Which airport in the Sonoma area are you based?

I'm at the Jackson, CA airport and I fly down to Schellville and Sonoma County every so often. Seems to be a lot of tires down there that need an occasional kicking. Thats one of my advanced ratings.

I fly out of Sonoma Skypark - 0Q9 - which is just north of Schellville about a mile and a half. You should come check it out, it can be a much more active airport than Schellville... lots of nice people, and lots of very cool airplanes too!

Let me know when you're going to stop in... I live 1/4 mile up the street from the airport, and I'm out there all the time. My e-mail address is trevor@meeksdigital.com

I've got the rest of the blog archived, just need to post it. I'm waiting until I get home so I can post it all with the images, which are on my studio computer. You can subscribe to the RSS feed from the blog if you want to be informed when the blog is updated... or just check back occasionally
