I've had a W&B done in Excel that is similar to this one in fact I may have copied it. I've made it available for the asking and many have taken me up on it.
The A and B model are the same as the fuel system is the same as well as datum, stations and limits, The '48 is different because of the fuel system. I have one for both the A/B and the '48. I have a version which includes the Javelin aux. fuel tank as well.
As before PM me with your email letting me now what aircraft you have and if you have the javelin tank and I'll send it out.

There always seems to be someone ready to come up with a system to complicate a simple operation. Every C-170 should carry a POH with the loading graph. If you don't have a POH, get someone to give you a copy of the loading graph to carry on board.
You'll be hard pressed to find a 4pclm airplane with a much simpler calculation of the wt. and bal..

I know that Ol' Gar and I left ABQ for home and it took forever to get to 9500' and it wasn't exactly hot weather!
Later on I realized that my empty wt of 1304, plus 222 fuel, 460 lbs of Ol' Gar and me (he's a bit heavier than I) and 200 lbs of junk in the back (total 2186) only left us 14 lbs for error.
My cruise prop didn't exactly rocket skyward. We were dang near to Corona VOR before we got to 9500 (only about 200 fpm of climb.)
