I take a shot at this one. I also had trouble until I realized that you must put something in the Subject line. :)

Marc,
Messages stay in your "outbox" waiting until the receipient picks up the message than they move to your "sent mail" box. I my self have a message in my "outbox" that has been there sense February 4th.

Which means that if you think about something later, you can still append it to that PM which hasn't been read yet. Or, if you chewed somebody a new one, then started to feel guilty, you can delete or edit it before they read it.

Everyone: I recommend you go to your Profile...and check "Yes" to the option to have a "pop up window" ...<OR>... "notify" on new Private Message. If you check the Forums regularly the popup window should be just fine. If you check in only occasionally, you'll probably be better served if you are notified (by email) when you have a new PM. - George
