1. You must have storage space on a web site that is accessible 24/7 to the public. http://photobucket.com/ is good free space to store your photos.

2. Your photo can be in the .gif or .jpg format and maybe others. It should be small in physical size (about 640x480, 90kb) for fast page loading and ease of viewing on the forum. Photobucket has built in tools that allows easy resizing of photos.

3. Save your photo to your storage space and then find out what the web address (url) to the file will be. For example, the address to one of my photos on Photobucket is "http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb46 ... 280077.jpg". You can find this two ways in Photobucket: (a) Right click on your photo and choose "Properties". Copy the link shown next to "Address (URL)" [caution: sometimes websites add some info after your file extension so just copy your file information up to the extension type of your photo] (b) Use Photobucket's link provided to the right of your photo... use the one called "Direct Link". Copy that link as displayed there in its entirety.

4. In your message where you want the image to appear click on the "image button" at the top of the post window. Next, paste the URL in your message. Now click the "image button" above again. The finished line will look something like this:
(img)http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb46 ... .jpg(/img).
Round brackets have been substituted for square brackets in the sample line so that you can see the code.

5. Preview your post to see if it worked.

(Thanks to Bruce who's previous directions I have copied and edited here!)

Congrats!
Here's a link just for your N number (to share some photos)!

Works for Canadian registrations too...

Still working on the pics.....

Hey Iowa, I have family in the Quad cities! Any good Iowa fly-ins coming up this fall? Quick figures put QC about 7.5 hours away. Long, but not bad!

Chris, Congradulations on your purchase. I have a 170B in the area at SFQ (Suffolk Executive) . Would love to see your bird and well as show you N1909C. We have owned our plane for almost 4 years and have flown to Oshkosh 3 times. We fly over to PVG for a $100 hamburger once in awhile. Will have to do lunch and compare planes. Where did you find your 170B? Gary Wiley

Hi Gary,

Good to hear from you! I've been over to Suffolk a bunch of times for a $105 coke in Chesapeake Aviation's Citabria. I'd love to see your 170! I won't have mine at PVG until after labor day. We'll be at sea for the next week or so and then I plan to fly down to Conyers, Ga (Berry Hill airport) to pcik it up and c'mon back here. I actually found it on TAP, no pictures there but, the owner's son sent a bunch to me. I looked at a few (missed the last one for sale at PVG) and decided on the Ga one.

The owner lost his medical after owning it for 34 years. He was a Torpedo Bomber pilot in WWII and I am really looking forward to meeting him and sitting down for a talk.

Why don;t you email your phone number to me and I'll give you a call when I get the plane up here. It'd be fun doing some trips with another 170!

See ya, Chris 8)
