Hello-
For anyone interested....just posted a video on YOUTUBE. Footage of my C170 w/180HP flying into Mile Hi, Vines, and Cabin Creek in the Idaho Backcountry. Hi Mick-
Glad you like the video! The Idaho backcountry is a fun place to fly. The strips are surprisingly smooth...although the video doesn't reflect that. Once you feel comfortable at slow flight and flying in that kind of terrain, the strips become very reasonable. Idaho offers great strips both long and short, fantastic fishing and exploring. You'll have to make the visit.

What type of camera are you using and how do you have it mounted in the back seat area?

Hi Cory-

I took out all seats (passenger and back seat) and mounted a Gitzo tripod with ball head. I use a Sony DCR-HC1000 with wide angle Carl Zeiss lens. With a remote wire I can turn recording on and off.

It helps explain why your videos look so much better than mine using a $100 Oregon Scientific helmet cam strapped to my head set! Thanks for the info. Keep the videos coming. They're cool.

The vid looks great, but Youtube really lowers the quality of video. I've started using http://www.vimeo.com because they don't downsample it so much, and if you have one of the new HD camcorders, they preserve the quality of that too.
