It is or was a Cessna 140. This accident happened 6/26/1967 in Goletal (Santa Barbara), California.. The aircraft was repaired and flew another 33 years (October 21, 2000 in MCCLURE, PA) until it had an engine failure due to fuel contamination (probable cause) from a sloshing sealant material used during a left wing fuel tank repair in 1957, 43 years previous. The aircraft is currently not registered.
