worlds newest 170 owner(and member)
Hello everyone, just brought my first airplane home last night, a beautful flight from Phoenix to Lake Havasu City, Az. It is a 1950 170A with an O-360 Lycoming,Hartzell CS prop. and a MASA STOL kit. This has been a long time coming, but I do believe I made the right choice. Looked at all sorts of taildraggers, but kept coming back to a 170. I can tell this is the start of my downfall..............

How exactly do I post an image. I only see the Img button above. Do I have to post them on photobucket or somewhere and then give the URL?

There are two ways to do it. You can try both, and click the "Preview" button to see how they work. One way is, as you said, to click the "Img" button and insert the URL of a photo that's been uploaded somewhere else. That places the image in-line, wherever you put the URL.learaviator wrote:How exactly do I post an image. I only see the Img button above. The other way is to click the "Upload attachment" tab below where you're composing your text, click "Choose File", browse to the photo you want to upload, click "Open" on the browser window, then click the "Add the file" button. At that point you'll have a "Place inline" button to click if you want to do that.
For other clues, click "quote" on somebody else's entry that you'd like to imitate, and then you can see what they did.
Happy posting!

For some reason there is not an upload attachment tab like I am used to seeing on forums. Unless I am just blind.....

You might have to be an association member to do that. Join up!learaviator wrote:For some reason there is not an upload attachment tab like I am used to seeing on forums. Unless I am just blind.....

To upload a pic directly into the forums, one must be a member.
To upload an img from some other url/hosted location (such as photobucket) membership is not required.
(You're gonna want to be a member of the Int'l Cessna 170 Assn, tho'. You can join here at the forums home page.)

If a member, it may be just below your screen. Scroll down before "submitting" and look for a tab for uploading attachments. One can "browse" and then upload, and then "place inline".learaviator wrote:For some reason there is not an upload attachment tab like I am used to seeing on forums. Unless I am just blind.....
