Not to start a political debate, but our fathers founded this nation as a Constitutional Republic.
"and for the REPUBLIC for which it stands....."
We the people, whom are the government, elect our representatives in a democratic fashion and then those reps are to govern the republic.
The word "Democracy" has been inappropriately used for several decades. A true democracy is were the majority vote rules, and in our present state, that is SCARY.

I run those lights all the time. It is liberating

Good on ya Del. Many people don't have a clue about how our system of Government works.

All Democratic, constitutional, republican governments(ie.. Rome...Sparta)... have failed....up to now .....due to the excesses of the elected individuals, and over taxation......let's see what the new government gives us to tackle.....
