Oshkosh Parking

Post by tweiss »

Going to OSH for the first time. Do they have club/type parking somewhere, or just the mass vintage, north 40 stuff? I figured we have some seasoned OSH veterans with all the answers on this site.
Thanks

I am not aware of any 170 type parking this year. Do get a copy of the Notam on Airventure.com. If you are flying in with a classic or vintage, you can park "VAP" or camp "VAC". Try to get there early for a good spot or you could be camping in "Fond du Lac" which is at the South end of the airport.
If you read and understand the notam, it isn't difficult to fly in. Non classic or vintage parks in the North 40.
Have fun,
Dan

I'm planning on going to Oshkosh on Saturday, the 25th (this will be my 26th consecutive year), but for the first time in years, I'm going to leave our 170 at home and ride up with a friend and stay in his camper trailer instead of camping with the plane. Hope to get together with some association members while I'm there.

I will be arriving in Oshkosh on Sunday with my 170. There will be another 170 from my home airport S50 Auburn, Wa as well. He should be there either Friday or saturday.
