OT Quiz: OK,,How do you START this thing??....
OK, all you motor-heads.... How many of you know how (that is....the proper sequence...) to START this thing? (The A-Model! Not the young-model!)

Retard the spark....set the throttle....If it has a 6 volt starter whearl it around until the engine catches then, advance the spark.....slowly...( I think there is something else in there.....but it has been a long time)......Brad

Most importantly, the cranker must keep the thumb on the same side of the crank as the rest of the fingers. More than one early model starter has been surprised and broken a thumb. Yes there are common sense rules to hand cranking the early autos just as there are for the early airplanes.
