VAcuum pump

Is there a vacuum pump for the C-145-2? If so, where can one get one?

Thanks,
Semper Fi

If you are talking about a vacuum pump to bolt on to the accessory caseointhe back of the engine, no there is no pad to bolt it to.

If you are talking about an STC'd vacuum pump that bolts on to the front of your engine and is driven by a belt, then maybe. I'm sure others will chime in about this system and whether it can be added to a c-145-2. If it can I think you will also need the early 172 open front cowl.

The belt-driven vacuum pump STC exists...and Member Earl Estabrooks sent me the paperwork for it. But the problem is repair parts for the discontinued vacuum pump specified by that STC.

Parts are hard to come by. I have been looking. You can find some new parts. They are big bucks if the person knows what they have. I found a drive pully, new for 2,123.25 and that was a couple of years ago. Do a seach you will find a couple threads on the subject. Here is one of them.
