Greenwood Lake Airport (4N1) is a general aviation airport in West Milford, Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. This public-use airport is owned by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. It covers an area of 150 acres and has one runway. An old Lockheed Constellation sits on the ramp. This aircraft is no longer flyable and has been built into part of the terminal building

A local pilots group went to Auburn-Lewiston ME to see a Connie being restored. Here is the email disclaimer sent out and the link to an article and video about the restoration.

"Here’s a nice documentation of what we toured on Saturday when eight airplanes from KFIT (and one or two from KASH) flew to Auburn-Lewiston ME Airport. Due to copyright issues, we couldn’t publish photos of the Lufthansa Technik “Project Super Star” restoration facility on our Meetup site, but Mainebiz News did it for us. I found this information researching information for photos, which I’ve posted on the Meetup site. I’m sending this link to give us more information; I didn’t have email address of the nineteen individuals who went, so everyone gets the news! There’s a neat video embedded in the story that shows a little bit of what we saw.

Began in 2007, "Project Super Star" Lockheed L-1649A Constellation is scheduled to fly again on 2011-2012.

louise "
