Medical - Special Issuance

Post by cmsusllc »

Just for current information, After submitting all requested information in person to the FAA for a renewal of my third class special issuance it took 32 days and I had it in my hands.

That's better, but it's still a ridiculous amount of delay for someone who must have their medical certificate to earn a living, heh?

It 's my opinion that FAA should allow a pilot and his private physician to have discretion to continue operations while FAA makes extraordinary rulings on medical conditions/treatments. It's a simple matter to expand the rule which already authorizes the pilot to REMOVE himself from flight duty when temporary conditions merit.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
