Yes I did. A little fishy that the General is going to do lottery style but if you list as CAP or Warbird Who Knows? Doug

Just know that everything I've read has the fly-in being held on the Rosamond Dry Lake, NOT the much larger and more storied Rogers Dry Lake.

Doug, If you win a slot and want to come down a day early and/or stay a day late (my b-day 8) ), we'd be happy to put you up.

Miles they have also suspended tours to the Public post 9/11 also. I tried to take my friends through NORAD in C Springs a couple years ago, and got torpedoed. All I can say is the terrorists did succeed in their quest. You cant even go into the local FAA anymore without making an appointment to go behind the glass.

Actually, Edwards is now offering tours one Friday per month, but you have to get reservations. Check out http://www.edwards.af.mil/questions/topic.asp?id=812 . SteveF here on the forums went in May and really enjoyed it.

I agree. That thought crosses my mind every time I have to take my shoes off in a commercial airport. I guess we can consider ourselves lucky that guy didn't decide to be an "underwear bomber".

I was fortunate enough to take the Edwards tour this spring. It was a lot of fun and got to see a lot of the facility.
At the time it was given on the first and third Friday of the month. The website now mentions only once a month but if you read further under the museum it again mentions twice a month. A call to make a reservation and question the number of time a month might be in order. I had a good time on the tour and recommend it if the timing is correct. I have to add Miles really made the whole Edwards area experience a special time for me. Thanks again Miles!!!

Any C-170's get invited? I didnt unless they havent selected the uhhummm LOTTERY WINNERS" yet. The general said that CAP and warbirds were going to be given consideration. I thought of painting my ship to look like an 0-1. Maybe thats what I neeed to do! D

Got this in the outgoing commander's "Adios" email. I didn't attend, but evidently it was quite a success.
