Who was that at Mansfield?

Post by gparker »

My dad went to a gathering at Mansfield, LA today and saw a nice 170 but didn't get the N number. Was it you?

Too bad he couldn't get that Tail#? As far as I know, at least in the Association Membership, we don't have any members north of here. We live on Toledo Bend just south of Zwolle. I haven't heard of any of our members in transit right now.

If either you or your dad are ever in this area I would love for you to stop by and chat, join us for some refreshments or stay for a while Ours is the house at the end of the strip, 5LS9, with the C150 in the front yard.

Actually I was wondering what George was using to decoy the mud daubers away from his 170.

Well...anyone who recalls the "wasp" trap I purchased at Home Depot....will not be impressed with my followup report.
I returned it. In three months...it caught one spider. That's it.

Yet my hangar is full of the little buggers, (wasps of all varieties AND daubers), happily buzzing away building mud nests.
(I think the recent, heavy rains in TX has supplied them with lots of building material. Fortunately, I've only found one, in my left wing at a convenient inspection plate near the flap bellcrank. I'd certainly like to find a good deterrent.)

The things about 07E (Ol'Gar's C-175 that has not moved in the 10 years I've known him) that I agree with is that it's GREEN and it's FAST-asleep!
