Cessna 170 drawings or clipart
Anyone have any artwork or drawings of the 170 that we can reproduce for various uses, for instance to screen print on a shirt or maybe etch on cocktail glasses. Black and white drawings or clipart is best. BTW the drawing of the 170 on my ash colored tee-shirt purchased from the association a couple years back would be great. Anyone know who owns that? Thanks, Nels Sundby

Are you looking for original art or art that Cessna used in their IPC. If you need someone to make art that looks like Cessna's art and really get stuck I might be able to help.
BTW in the last year or maybe two Cleo Bickford had the TIC170A logo artwork "improved" to better resemble our 170s. You would want to make sure you using that art not the older art for anything you make. Jan and Hq should be up to speed with that.

George you are correct the association would have an issue with unauthorized use of the logo. I'm sure you know but others might not that the Sundby's or more specifically Jan Sundby has been contracted to produce our "Official" merchandise. In that capacity they most certainly have permission to use our logo.
You can see our 'New Store" with much more merchandise than we could ever do ourselves by going to our home page or simply clicking the advertising block at the right top of the forum pages.

Re: Cessna 170 drawings or clipart
My artistic nephew, (who's also a corporate pilot) gave us a nice line drawing of N2865C, our '54 C170B... some of you might have seen it at the convention in Benton Harbor this summer. I'd like to send it on to you, but can't seem to scan it into an email format... can I snail-mail it to you, Bruce or on to Jan?
My nephew Dustin said he'd be more than happy to produce line art from photos for this project, too.

My comment was not directed specifically to Nels, I just wanted to make certain folks didn't get in trouble over the copyright.Bruce Fenstermacher wrote:George you are correct the association would have an issue with unauthorized use of the logo. I am specifically looking for 170 drawings. I like the tee-shirt I have and and working on prototype products to present to the board to possibly sell to the membership. No one I have spoke to seems to rember where the drawing of the 170 on the back of those shirts came from. I purchased it from the association about four years ago via Osh convention and Jay. George, your comment and mine are a tag team effort toward the same goal. And I got a plug in for our new merchandise store.gahorn wrote:My comment was not directed specifically to Nels, I just wanted to make certain folks didn't get in trouble over the copyright.
Nels, a picture is work a thousand words. Take a picture of that shirt art and post it so we can identify it.
As for scanning art, I would be happy to help but not sure that is the most efficient method to ship it to someone for scanning. First there is no secret format for attaching a document to an email. A .jpeg .jpg or even PDF would work. What might be the issue is the size of the document you are trying to attach and limitations placed by your email provider or the persons email provider you sending the document to.
One thing you could do it scan it in a smaller size at least to send to Nels to see if he is interested in using it. If he does then if necessary send the original. There are some other slightly more complicated ways to send larger files to folks without attaching them to email and perhaps we can use one of those methods. Email me direct at brucefenster at gmail.com and we can explore those methods.

Hey Bruce, I went into the 170 store through the link, and I could not put anything in the shopping cart. I was looking to order a shirt before the next convention. Doug

Try again. I just tried and had no problem. Did you get to the individual product page after clicking add to shopping cart at the right top? Once there did you put a number for the quantity you want in the box under the price then hit update to see your cart?canav8 wrote:Hey Bruce, I went into the 170 store through the link, and I could not put anything in the shopping cart.
