I think AC/DC can overcome the brain cell damage caused by country or western but, the results are not yet in. As for having a beer south of the Mason Dixon,,I remember when I went to Mobeal Alabamer for training in southern speak and other such thangs and when they axed me if y'all wanted a beer, I said ya and they gave me a Miller lite. I mean come on guys that is canoe beer. Probably can't tell you what canoe beer is in a g rated forum. However it is what southern beer and making love in a canoe have in common. They are both very close to water.

We purposely keep the 'lite' beers for our northern kin. We've lost to many sharing the good stuff with'em

Of course, there is a very simple soulution available to those who don't care for our music, language/dialect, or beer...

I think wingnut was refering to a 1950's tune, popular during the early NASCAR crowd...before NASCAR was "cool". Another old-favorite of mine was "Thunder Road" .

blueldr wrote:If that guy "lowNslow" actually lives in Carmel, CA., it is understandable that he says "Yuk" to real American music. I have been led to understand that they have a city ordinance there that prohibits playing or listening to country music anywhere inside the city limits under penalty of forced banishment from the community. They have, over the years, had an annual guitar burning festival each fall. When the world famous "Spaghetti Western" movie star was elected Mayor, locals went into mourning for a lengthy period and some of them never did recover.
No city ordinance, blueldr, that's a myth. Turning off whining cowboys is just good manners. :D
