I'm currently relocating the battery to the back ( bigger job than you would think ) and a level floor makes it much less tiring.

That's what I do when I want to level my airplane. I use a hydraulic motorcycle-lift/work-platform...roll it up against the tailwheel (which rolls right up the ramp) and then pump the platform up until the airplane is level.

Well I'll be doggoned! I have one of those Harbor Freight, air over hydraulic, motorcycle lifts in my hangar for working on my Vespa motor scooters. Never thought of using it to raise the tail of my airplanes. It's terribly discouraging to find out that you're not as astute as you thought you were. I've always used my "Cherry Picker" hoist and a strap around the rear of the fuselage.

Blue4,
"A" scooter like hell! I have two identical vintage green '05 Vespa GT 200L scooters. They're real go-ers and will hit about 75 mph on a level flat road. Overhead cam, 4 stroke, 12 cu.in. single cylinder engine.
My younger daughter, Nancy, came home from Hong Kong for a visit (She is a FedEx pilot on the Asian routes) and said "Gee, Dad, Ifyou had two scooters we could go on a trip togethher".
Isn't that enough to force even the grinch to promptly acquire another scooter? It happened that week end an exact copy of my scooter was advertised in the local paper at a very reasonable price. What choice did I have?
Nancy will be getting home again on 2 Apr 11 and, weather permitting, I hope we can go scootering together. She has never driven a scooter, but while on a vacation trip to Viet Nam she hired a guide who was a former schoolteacher and rode all over Viet Nam on the back of his scooter. Many years ago she used to ride her boyfriends Harley Davidson to work every day, so I am quite sure she will do just fine. It was kind of funny. She was workng in a bank located in a restored victorian mansion and the manager became quite upset. It seems a good looking young chick with waist length blond hair riding a Harley Davidson was not exactly the image they were looking for. Interestingly, she ALWAYS managed to march to a different drummer.
