Nat'l Aviation Heritage Invitational

Post by rhymes »

Kathy and I were honored by our fellow 170 Lovers at the 42nd Annual Convention in Benton Harbor last summer... then went on to be humbled by receiving the "Outstanding 170/180" Award at Airventure Oshkosh. Quite a summer!
Well, one of our good Airport friends has been volunteering at the Reno Air Races (90 miles south of Susanville) for the past 15 years or so, and has been encouraging us to apply to have Six Five Charlie entered into the Rolls Royce National Aviation Heritage Invitational held at the Races each year... but I was a bit skeptical. I mean, there are some really fabulous aircraft, in Military Transport, Racer, Vintage and Classic categories there. But darned if we weren't invited to participate this Sept. 14-18th!!
We'll get to fly into the Reno Air Races, and will be in some fine company in the static display area right along the flightline. What a great vantage point for us to watch the proceedings, and to tell folks how cool we think the 170's are!
Stop in and hang out with us in our VIP digs if you're attending the Air Races this year!

A fine addition to the show Bruce. Your plane can hang with that crowd.
