Half pilot narrowly dodges clouds

Post by db99577 »

It was too scary, so I turned around about fifty miles from the clouds.
Now without the lame sarcasm, the weather was perfect for flying (partway) up Ruth Glacier.

At the mouth of Tokositna Glacier valley, I tried to get the red creek, blue lake and gray (glacial silt) river in one photo – no luck. Tomorrow it’s off to the camera store for a wide angle lens.

Hope all of you enjoy Father's Day

You are a brave man to even get that close to the clouds without an instrument rating and ATP on your cert. Ha Ha
It certainly is beautiful up there and keep the photos coming.
