Drain carburetor

Some days ago i took out all the car gas my plane had, it sitted there for 3 month, now i want to drain the carburetor for the remaining car gas inside it. just for precaution. Do i just have to unscrew the little screw it has in the bottom and then put it again and wire it? Any advice? Can i damage something inside the carb doing this?

The carburetor bowl drain screw is designed exactly for that purpose. Warning: Count the number of turns to remove it in order to have an idea how tight to put it back in. Excessive torque re-installing it can crack the carb bowl. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yes, and if you really want to clean out the bowl, open the fuel valve and let a cup or two of fuel flow through the system into a bucket before replacing the drain plug.
