If you can get the plane to Chino, I'd recommend Dennis at Inland Valley Aviation, although after the trouble that my '48 has given him, he might not want to see another 170 for a while
Or San Diego - Tom Sarvis at First Flight. Also has alot of 170 experience.
Also, you might try contacting Daniel Wotring in Fullerton. He is a 170 CFI and might have some more recommendations near you.
