Hey guys, I am looking for good photos of planes on Aero skis. Straight skis, wheel skis, tail ski. What ever you have, especially close ups. I am an Aero ski dealer and am in the process of building a website. These photos would be used on the website so make sure you don't mind. PM me for my email. Thanks,
Shawn

Thanks for the pictures guys. I have the website up and running now. Aeroski.net I am still tweaking it to get it how I want it but it is functional. I plan to add more photos so if you have some good ones and haven't already sent them to me then go ahead and email them to me. Thanks,
Shawn

Will the R2800 be STCd for the C-170?
The local FSDO here told me he won't field approve them on my 170.

Unfortunately no. It is STC'd on the tail dragger 172 but not the 170. Go figure. I have tried to talk them into getting it STC'd but they have had really bad luck with their FSDO and don't want to fight it.

Do you know any 170s with the field approval for the skis?
I'd love to fly them on my 170B.

Out of context this would be a VERY interesting question, especially the "approve them" part, implying more than one.akclimber wrote:Will the R2800 be STCd for the C-170?

Re: Aero Ski photos
I don't know of any. The problem is it requires a stub axle on the inside of the gear leg and they have never built one for a Cessna gear leg. The Bohlin (not sure if I spelled that right) 172 tail dragger conversion doesn't use Cessna gear or axles so the bolt pattern is different. Otherwise I think it might be possible. I don't think it would be too difficult for a handy machinist to make one but that doesn't make the Feds too warm and fuzzy.akclimber wrote:Do you know any 170s with the field approval for the skis?
