I've landed on some of it in West Texas. Check out Big Bend state park.
Wikipedia says the total area of Texas is 268,581 square miles; 3% of that is approximately 5,156,755 acres.

How much do those 29" weight?
How much airspeed do they cost you?
I'm mostly looking for soft field, not so much rough field performance and wondering if 8.50x10 are sufficient.
