Aqua 2200 floats

Post by floatflyer »

I am looking at purchasing a set of aqua 2200 for my 180 horse 170. Has anyone flown a 180hp 170 or 172 on aqua 2200 and if so how did it perform? I am currently on edo 2000 but found a great deal on a set of aqua's and was considering giving it a try. I realize it will involve a field approval but was curious about performance. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Aqua 2200

I found a good deal on a set of aqua 2200 and am considering putting them on my 180hp 170b. I realize it will require a field approval but was curious if anyone has operated a 170 in this configuration and how it performed?
Also does anyone know the total weight of the edo 2000's with 170 rigging?

Thanks

According to Cessna Drawing 0541125, the 170 float kit installation drawings for Edo 2000s, "Total weight of all wires, struts, fittings and floats 251#" See excerpt below.

Some folks may not care to hear about 170s on floats, but I'm very hopeful your project turns out well. I currently am running Edo 2000s and would love to (someday) upgrade.

Those floats aren't by chance in the Fairbanks area? Good luck on the field approval.
I tried and was denied. STC or else misery.
