Yepp, Gahorn is correct. We were able to match it to original cessna spec. The pictures dont show the right color though.. bad lighting

So the springs were originally Grey as well? I thought they'd be black.

steering springs are yellow cadmium plated.

Yes the leaf springs were painted in the gull grey. The springs were plated as George said.
Thanks Minton, plan onn having it all finished this by early summer. Getting the engine put back together and sending off the interior shortly.

Nice work. I hope you fly to the Convention in July so I can get a first-hand view. And some ideas for my own airplane.

I will have to see about the convention time and location. I am going to Oshkosh for the full time, but that is later in the month. I plan on taking it to a few different fly ins and such though.
