Finally Got C-GYHC Home

Post by integritywood »

Spent a bit of time this summer cleaning up the back pasture and clearing out trees. Took my instructor with today and flew in for the first time. Did a few take offs and landings to get comfortable. Feels good to have her at home! :D :D

Horses mowed it this summer. Just gotta make sure they're not there when I'm using it!

Home is Central Interior BC Vanderhoof to be exact. I'd love to come to Ontario some time.

I was out your way about a month ago.
Fasinating story--I owned a 170 B and sold it to buy an Archer.
Well, times changed, retired and moved a bit North of Toronto and got into more snow and a gravel runway.
Well, it made sense to look at a high wing/ ski possibility aircraft and got thinking of the 170 that does many things well.
Contacted ther guy that bought it from me in '07 and he said he was thinking of trading/selling it.
Next thing he liked my Archer-- I liked my old 170 so we made the deal.
I ferried the Archer out to Calgary and brought the new/old plane home.
Now in the hanger construction business-- putting up a quonset--just delivered today.
3 pailes of nuts and bolts so lots of work ahead.
I've been on u-tube getting some ideas, but if anyone has experience about things to do/ not do- love to hear them!
