Post by W.J.Langholz »

Looking for Grass strips with fuel in the N 1/2 of Michigan and the North 1/2 of Wisc. Possibly making a trip late June from Saginaw up over the top and kitty corner s.w through Wisc.

any help appreciated

Thanks

Dirt, hayfield, bean stubble, wide gravel road no problem...... hard surface 8O 8O 8O ......I have located a LSA CHAMP and I'm a low time taildragger pilot that is very humble..... In fact I would take a 20' wide dirt road before a 60' wide hard surface runway any day. Landing out at the farm I have become more accustom to looking out the window instead of those stupid vasi lights :D :D :D

I've seen Dubya's VASI lights.....they're evenly spaced cow pies touched up with some bright orange marking paint. If you can see them as big round orange circles you're too high and if you can't see them at all you're too low.

Works just fine - except I also found WAY TOO MANY other patties that were not marked with orange paint! :o
