Re: Field Approval
Tom, I know that is true but just like any other enforcement branch of the government you get inspectors that inflict their personal opinion to the unsuspecting and then make things like field approvals very difficult to get done. Often times with the customer waiting. I have got a great horror story about a personal FAA representative that got in my face over a landing accident. I wont go over details but this guy accused me that I was supposed to have band brakes on my super cub even though I had all the paperwork in order for Clevland brakes. I even could not find the tachometer on the panel. I am not making this up.T. C. FAA is supposed to help and serve the public, (you and I) then they turn around and dont want to inspect anything because their name is all over the paperwork. D

When you have a difficult time with an inspector, remember they have a boss. they know every body has a cell phone and they can be reported long before they can return to the FSDO.canav8 wrote: Tom, I know that is true but just like any other enforcement branch of the government you get inspectors that inflict their personal opinion to the unsuspecting and then make things like field approvals very difficult to get done.
