Ok I hadn't thought of getting the records from Oklahoma City.
It is $5 for the CD and it is painless to all.

George, Munro is correct about the $5. I did this for my airplane shortly after I bought it just to see if the Feds had a record of all the "stuff" in the logs. I got a CD in a couple weeks.
Now I can't remember the web site to get the info. I looked at faa.gov but couldn't find it. I emailed my request to and address on the faa site and will probably hear back.........................sometime. In the meantime does anyone have the site in their files?? Munro??
I emailed Velvet and asked her if she could help.
Thanks for the help.................Buck

It looks like the association doesn't have anything on the Gar-Aero. Velvet emailed right back to me with the reply below. I asked her to query the fly-paper.
Best..................Buck
Sorry to say the only paperwork I have is on a Scott t/w. Would you like to run an ad in the Flypaper requesting info on the Gar-Aero?

I sympathize with anyone who can't remember this. Go to diy.dot.gov and click on the "Federal Aviation Administration" link. Then click on "Aircraft Payments." Then click on "Request for Copies of Aircraft Records" and you're there. You can request paper or a CD. On the CD you'll get all the registration information the FAA has for the aircraft, all the 337s that have been filed on it, any outstanding liens, and maybe other stuff as well.
Best Regards,
John

For some reason I had a brain-pharrt and didn't think about the CD's (or the microfiche either for that matter....last time the fiche only cost $2 but may have gone up since then.) I was just thinking about paper copies of 337s and was stuck in that mindset for some reason.
