Rose,
We may be sissies, but we are fast sissies.

Don't believe it Rose. Truth be known the original style pants MIGHT add 1-2 mph. It's pretty much undetectable.
It does keep a little of the cow dung from hitting the bottom of the wing before you nose it over in the farmers field though.

Rose,
Believe it, here I am flight testing my 170 after making a couple of modifications, one of which was adding Wheel Pants and cleaning the cow dung off the bottom of the wings. Notice how I have to use a slight climb to keep the indicated airspeed out of the yellow.

(no cow dung on the bottom of the wings but some BS in the cockpit).

John- Beautiful panel, I bet you win the "most stuff award". The fuel flow readout isn't shown in the picture, how come? What does that thing eat at 24 squared?

Richard,
The JPI engine scanner sequences through each of it's perameters one at a time, at the moment in the picture it is showing RPM and MP. Subsequent to this picture I learned that the Garmin can be set to display Fuel Flow and now have Fuel Flow in view all the time. I normally use 23.5/23.5 and see 10.8 GPH, and would be guessing at the burn with 24/24.
