Growing up in the 70s I always wanted a muscle car. Well, here's my winter muscle car project.

Guess it will have to do for now.
How many of you know what this is?

I wouldn't have known before last week but I have been considering buying a house near Madison, GA. In doing some internet research about Madison, we came across this:

When I was in high school there was a neighbor kid who had one of those. Strange car (if car is the right word for it at all)!

Cool vehicle Kyle. I am old enough to remember when they were selling them although I never knew anyone who had one or ever had a ride in one. The last one I saw was at one of the restaurants across the street from the convention hotel in Branson, MO. Bet it will get good gas milage. I don't think it will make much of a hunting rig however

Better hang onto that Chevy PU

Thanks for the comments (and ribbing!) guys. Just what I expected.
It's a 1957 BMW Isetta. It's got a 4 stroke single cylinder. Air cooled. The front of the body opens to allow entry as seen by the original picture taken of me in suit and tie (much slimmer back then!).
I had it ready for easter and told my nieces I was taking them for a ride in an easter egg. They laughed with delight when they saw it. That short ride made all the work worthwhile.
The one thing that I learned through all of this is how valuable the IC170 organization is. It was a challenge to find parts and help when working on this micro car. While there is some support, it's nothing like one can receive from this group.

Wow.
The pictures are all very nice, But there is something extra special that just pops with two photos of the planes about to touch the runway. Bright sun lit colors, perfect focus on the subject. Correct shutter speed to freeze the motion except for a nearly perfect slight blur of the prop and just the right depth of field to focus the eye on the subject but not out of focus on the background that you can't tell what it is.
You could fill half a calendar with those shots.
So tell me it was your wife's camera you set on automatic and you barely know how to turn it on.

I really hate to attach this pix, but may be most folks will think it's a modified "Red" 170.

The give away that it's not is Red 170's don't go that fast. Obviously you had a Green 170 out in front as the camera platform for the second shot.
