Annoying planes

Post by W.J.Langholz »

Has anyone else noticed that while your own plane is in for annual and repairs, how annoying other peoples planes are   I mean I rarely hear a plane any other time but when your own plane is down it seems like every 5 minutes one is going overhead. 8000 feet seems like he's buzzy your house.......I swear a jetliner was just 500 feet today... ............anyway hopefully the oil cooler will be back midweek and the plane will be back together so I don't get annoyed by all those othe planes  .........I suppose it will get rainy windy and foggy then.............

Willie,
Have you thought about saving that type of aircraft maintenance for the fall? That way when the plane is down and you get those feelings you could just climb up into one of those Big Green(fast) Corn-Bines and harvest a few rows.

Buy another plane. When one is in annual you fly the other. Problem solved!

I have put a dp down on a LSA Champ, it's a ways a way and the guy that owns it will deliver it, just hasn't got here yet. :(

Anyway got word yesterday the oil cooler has been repaired and left the shop..........forecast is for rain and wind the next 3-4 days :(

I walked up and down my nice grass runway lastnight........just pretending to fly :)

the aviation gods are really taunting me ........last night a helicopter came right down the runway, hovered right in front of my house waved out the window and away he went........... :( :(

i had met the guy the other day, he's working on the power lines. 2 guys stand on a platform on the chopper and reach out to work on the lines while he hovers.... 8O 8O

I call and told him next time to 1) wait until I get a pic and 2) stop and give me a ride dam it!!!!

Willie, I feels yo pain :!: Our house is across the street from houses that line the runway here at Pecan Plantation and I get a daily diet of planes taking off and landing. I haven't turned a prop since March, but have ridden to one 170 fly in and one other trip with one of our 170 members who lives here. I am having flying withdrawal :( As far as that powerline helicopter work, I can't imagine doing that myself 8O I have seen some of it on tv. Its a good thing there are some that do so. I would like to see that photo if and when you get it.

Awesome! Be sure to share some pictures when you get a chance. Too bad you aren't closer to Alabama. I'm thinking of headed to the airport after I parole from work to commit aviation.

Have a great weekend!

Patrick
