Dick are you up at Yellowpine yet? Just heard there was a mid-air at JC this morning, apparently a Tri-Pacer and a Baron got together on final. At least one fatality, airport temporarily closed to transients.

It's about eight PM PDT now, and I talked to Roxie, one of the caretakers, about an hour ago. Her report and others on the internet say that a baby was fatally injured and the father was injured too. They were apparently in a Piper Tri Pacer that came down on final on to a Baron with two occupants who were less seriously injured. The midair apparently occorred about fifteen feet in the air according to one report. It happened about 0950 MDT this morning.
Difficult to get much more information than that.
